Sheffield trams old and new

1: Sheffield Corporation Tramways 1960

These black and white photographs were taken on a brief visit
on 12th September 1960. I was returning from a Scottish railway
visit on the way to visit relatives near York and stopped off for
a few hours - long enough to ride the remaining routes
and take a handful of photographs.

2: Sheffield Supertram 2003

My next visit to Sheffield was not until 2003. I travelled north to
visit Manchester, Sheffield and Crich and spent 30th-31st March
2003 in Sheffield riding and photographing the Supertram system.

Unlike other galleries on my site, I am not showing the trams in
numerical order. Because I took several shots of some cars,
I am displaying them by area, starting in the central area
and then working out along each of the routes.
