which were taken on a range of cameras ranging from 127 roll film
models to 35mm SLR. Sadly, they are not all of the highest quality,
partly because of age and an over-optimistic cameraman!
Unlike the trolleybus galleries, I did not spend a lot of time getting
photographs of the bus fleet. Shots might be taken to finish a film
or on the way between visiting railway locations or just to catch
an unusual view.
After 1972, the demands of a family kept me away from transport
photography for much of the time so there is a gap until
I returned to taking railway views.
Many of the earlier colour photographs up to the mid-1960s were
scanned from transparencies. Those taken using Agfa CT18 have
deteriorated more than those using Kodak. Many of these and
the ordinary b&w or colour prints have been restored as best
as possible using Photoshop Elements.
Pictures are shown by class, in alphabetical order. Where a class
has more than one set of letters (as per the RM class for example),
all photos are with the main class grouping.
